v1.1 Release date June 4, 2025

Description:

This is a utility which allows you to toggle CoPilot off (or back on) for the user account you are logged into, or if you start NoPilot using "Run as Administrator", for the entire machine. It does this by modifying the policy registry settings of the PC. CoPilot itself cannot be uninstalled, only deactivated. This is a beta release, so it's a little rough. There is no online help nor remote check for updates, but the core functionality is there and works. Feedback is always appreciated.

To use, download the NoPilot.zip file & open it. Inside is a file called NoPilot.EXE, Place that anywhere, such as your desktop, and double click it. NoPilot.EXE is digitally signed with my Code Signing Certificate issued by Sectigo, so if even one bit is altered, by say malware, Windows will know & won't run it. You can read about Code Signing & how to check a signed exe file's cert here (which is from a part of the help file for my program NDC.)

We add the usual warning that there are no warranties that this software will work correctly or will even run on your machine, and that you use it at your own risk. Also, Windows updates may reactivate CoPilot so you can in principle use this utility to check whether Windows thinks CoPilot (& Recall in Windows 11) are active or not.
